Randy Hollingsworth was born and raised on Long Island, NY. He graduated from Rutgers University in NJ with a BSEE and was commissioned as a Lt. in the US Army. After two years of service with the US Army Electronic Proving Grounds in Ft. Huachuca, AZ, he took an engineering position with Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, IA, a leading manufacturer of avionics and communications equipment. This began a 33 year plus career with the company. Receiving a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Iowa in 1980, Randy spent the first half of his career in Engineering Services management roles. He later transitioned to Information Technology management roles and retired in 2007 after several years as the Senior Director of eBusiness Infrastructure, responsible for the worldwide IT equipment and networks for Rockwell Collins. Randy has been married to Cheryl (Skrotsky) Hollingsworth for forty two years and they have two children (Meredith and Greg) and two grandchildren (Grant and Graeme). Randy currently serves as the webmaster for the Doug Hollingsworth web site at www.valentinehollingsworth.com and is an active amateur radio operator, holding the call sign KØFA. Randy descends from Walker Jr., Walker, George Madison, Joshua, and Jacob Hollingsworth, b. 1774 in GA. Jacob is believed to be the son of Zebulon of Stephen of Henry of Valentine. Randy's descendance from Valentine is verified by DNA testing.
